Working Hunter Clear Round – £6.00 a round (£1.00 extra for a rosette)

 

Class 1: Lead Rein/ Tiny tots Working Hunter pony: Open to ponies 128cms and Under, Riders 10years and under, Jump Height 30cms

 

Class 2: Mountain & Moorland Working Hunter: Jump height 60cms max (small Breeds) & 75cms Max (Large Breeds)

Class 3: Working Hunter Pony – Under 133cms, jump height 65cms max & 133-153cms jump height 75cms max.

Class 4: Working Hunter Horse- 153cms & over, Jump height 85cms max

Class 5: Riding Club Pony/ Horse- one jump to be included in the individual show

GO FOR GLORY CHAMPIONSHIP – PB -1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA part bred classes may go forward to the Go for Glory Championship. For 2023 TOYS qualifiers, the handler/rider and exhibits (apart from stallions) do not have to be TGCA members/registered on the date of the show. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Crowning Glory Championships at TOYS

QUEST FOR A STAR CHAMPIONSHIP– 1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA classes above may go forward to the Quest for a Star Championship. ONLY current TGCA members and horse/pony that is already TGCA registered can exhibit in this championship, if exhibit already has their Quest for a Star Qualification in particular section, they should be ask stand aside to allow members that have not yet qualified. Membership card and Member’s qualification card (specific to that exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star Championships at TOYS.

Class 9: Complete Beginners Showing- Open to Horses or Ponies – Riders any age including Lead Reins, class may be split (16 years & under and over 16 – as of 1^st January 2022) if sufficient entries. SNAFFLE BRIDLE ONLY

Class 10: Novice/Green Pony or Horses -Open to Horses/ponies, Riders any age SNAFFLE BRIDLE ONLY

IN CLASSES 1&2 –Correct standard Hat, Boots & Jodhpurs must be worn; Jackets not necessary, but rider’s arms must be covered. NO CANTERING ON COLLECTIVE ‘GO ROUND’ AND NOT NECESSARY IN THE INDIVIDUAL SHOW.

Class 11: Ridden Coloured, Spotted, Palomino, Dun & Roan- Open to Horses and Ponies. Riders any age, will be split if sufficient entries

Class 12: Ridden Plaited Horses including RoR- Open to Horses. Riders any age, Class 13: Ridden Plaited Ponies- Open to Ponies. Riders any age,

Class 14: Ridden Mountain & Moorland (Small & Large Breeds)

In all non restricted age classes the rider must be a suitable height and weight for the Pony or Horse.

Class 19: Lead Rein Pony– – Open to Ponies 12.2hh and under, Rider 9 years and under Snaffle Bridle Only & Lead Rein must be attached to the Nose Band. No cantering

Class 26: Young Handler – 8-11 years (as of the 1st January 2023) (Children may be assisted by an adult)

Class 27: Junior Handler – 12years -17years – (as of the 1st January 2023)

Class 28: Tiny Tot Handler – 7 years and under (as of the 1st January 2023) (Children may be assisted by an adult)

Class 29: In-Hand Shetland / Miniatures -Handlers any age Stallions must be bitted and must be handled by 14years and over, will be split if sufficient entries

Class 30: In-Hand Mountain & Moorland – Small & Large Breeds

CLASS 35C	PRE-VETERAN IN-HAND (15–19 years). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height.

Class 36: Open in Hand – Open to all breeds Horses and Ponies, Handlers any age.

IN HAND CHAMPIONSHIP-1^st & 2^nd from each class go forward to this championship

TGCA QUALIFIER

TGCA Breed classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association’s (TGCA) National Breed Championship Show “TOYS”. Traditional Classes are open to all traditional gypsy cobs and are qualifiers for the Traditional Finals at ‘TOYS’. Part Bred classes, are open to all part bred traditional gypsy cobs and are qualifiers for the part bred finals at “TOYS”. The exhibit must have one parent that is a traditional gypsy cob. Stallions – All stallions (four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class MUST be TGCA registered, have passed TGCA stallion evaluations and their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their bridle. Stallions and colts over the age of two, MUST be shown in a stallion bridle with a metal bit and chain lead as per the current TGCA rulebook. Current TGCA members must present their Membership card and Qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Non-members MUST receive a qualification card from the judge and have 21 days to join the TGCA and register their horse to validate the qualification. Quest for a Star Championship Inc Youngstock Quest for a Star- Traditional Gypsy Cobs 1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA classes above may go forward to the Quest for a Star Championship as per below rule. The Greatest Gelding Award – Traditional Gypsy Cobs The award is aimed to encourage the showing of geldings, therefore creating a market for often unwanted colt foals and enabling the creation of a network of potential performance prospects to represent the best Traditional Gypsy Cob breed in the World at the highest level. This Award should be given to the highest placed registered Traditional Gelding.

Open to members and non-members. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification.

 

VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 1^st to 4^th in each Area Qualifier class will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals. Members must carry their card in the ring at all times and have their showing card signed by the judge as proof of qualification. Non-members will receive a red qualification card which can be exchanged for signed showing card when applying for VHS membership, this MUST be done within 21 days of qualification. It is the competitors responsibility to present their Showing card to the judge.
Regional Finals are open to members only.

 

All competitors are eligible to enter open classes at the National Veteran Championships,
to be held at Arena UK Lincolnshire on 30^th September – 2^nd October 2022. No qualification or membership necessary. See VHS website for schedule.
